Full Time and Part Time Care
We are a licensed family day care, and we offer both full-time and part-time care in our family home with a large, fenced backyard. We have a vegetable garden and a strawberry patch for kids to explore and learn about - children love seeing how things change and grow. The end result is edible, which is even better!
We have a family setting, and my goals are to give the children in my care opportunities to learn large and fine motor, language, and self-help skills. Your child will receive quality personal and individualized care in a warm and loving home located within easy walking distance of École des Pionniers and Irvine Elementary School.
We offer flexible scheduling for shift workers and/or those who do not have a traditional work day. We also offer the opportunity, space and time allowing, to extend your child's stay on occasion to accommodate a date night or an evening out with friends.
We have a large backyard complete with a GMO-free vegetable garden. Older children love to pick strawberries and blueberries from our plants, and a healthy snack can be harvested throughout the year. Obviously, outdoor time is important - children have time outdoors every day, weather permitting.
Our outdoor activities include sprouting seeds and watching them grow into full-sized flowers and vegetables, a sensory garden with wonderful-smelling herbs and eye-catching stones, as well as a water table and other outdoor toys. Indoors we have age-appropriate cooking, play-dough, puzzles, toys for children and infants of all ages.
Included in the fees are two healthy snacks as well as lunch. Additional meals are available for a fee.
I accommodate both cloth and disposable diapers, and am willing and able to work with any special dietary needs.
I have current Emergency Child Care First Aid/CPR-B certification, a current criminal records check for all of the adults in my home, as well as Good Beginnings and FoodSafe Level 1. I do speak French at a conversational level, and I can offer modified ASL/baby sign.
